Western Field Serial Number Lookup
Registered Users do not see the above ad. I've got a Western Field single shot 12 gauge that doesn't have a model number on it. It's serial number is: F10636. When you break it open, you can continue to fold it all the way in half. It has a cut out on the forend for the trigger guard to fit in when it's folded in half. The Western Field Model 60 is the Stevens/Savage 620A. If your 'smith can't find new or good used wood for it, try Numrich Gunparts. Help identifying a Western Field 30-30. The buttstock doesn't look as good.It has a crack near the bottom at the grip.About 2'long crack. Also some stock erosion around the tang area. The stock looks like it got wet at some point and stayed wet for a while would be my guess.Maybe it was standing up because the metal shows no sign. I picked up a Western Field SB30A Riot shotgun over the weekend. It is Montgomery Wards version of the Stevens 520 (not 520A or 520-30). It has a 20-inch barrel, safety inside the trigger guard and is in the 26,000 serial number range. I picked it up because it appears to be hand-stamped U.S. On the right side of the receiver. I have an old Montgomery Wards WesternField Deluxe Model 60, which is a relabeled Savage Model 620A if I am not mistaken. I picked this up today for free. It's a bit rough but I am getting ready to restore it and am curious to it's age. Can anyone here tell me from the Serial Number which is: U59XXX?
